FAQ

Questions before you reach out

Is this confidential?

Yes, within Tennessee law and professional ethics.

Who do you see?

Adults: individual counseling, couples counseling, and intensives. Rebuild is a separate online group, strictly for men.

Where are you located?

Offices in Franklin and Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, and telehealth anywhere in Tennessee.

What does it cost? Do you take insurance?

I don’t take insurance. Counseling is private pay. If you want to seek out-of-network reimbursement, I can give you a superbill. We’ll talk through fees on your free consult, before you commit to anything.

Do you offer Christian counseling?

Yes, upon request.

Do I have to know what to say?

No. “I’d like a consult” is enough to start.

What is a consult?

A free 15-minute call by phone or video to see if we’re a fit. You share what’s going on. I share how I work. If it’s not a match, I’ll say so.

What is a Good Faith Estimate, and how do I get one?

Under the federal No Surprises Act, if you don't have insurance or choose not to use it, you have the right to a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care will cost. When you schedule at least 3 business days ahead, you'll receive a written estimate by email or on paper, your choice. You can also ask for one at any time, including before you schedule. Because counseling needs can change, the estimate is not a cap; it will be updated if your plan of care changes. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Please save a copy or picture of your estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.

Is this crisis care?

No. If this is an emergency, call 911. For 24/7 support, call or text 988.
